I just put this fire screen together and it goes great on the fire pit. I really like how either half can be opened and can't wait to try it out. It's steel so it will rust eventually but for the price, ease of assembly, and functionality I don't think you'll find better. It is a full half circle and leaves lots of room for wood. It's easy to put together all you need are a screwdriver and a wrench or pliers. It's made in 4 sections that you put together into half's and then put the 2 half's together. I added jam nuts to the 2 hinge bolts that hold the half's together so they don't fall off but you could mash the threads to keep them from falling off too.

I ordered this item on a Monday and received it Thursday of the same week. The simple assembly of the four preconstructed sections with the eight small bolts took about 20 minutes, with no real hassles other than the fact that the directions relied on small b&w photos that were difficult to discern. Just handle with care during assembly as the screen edges on the undersides of the frames are sharp and can cut fingers. Also I would recommend adding lock washers to the hinge bolt nuts. The quality of construction is acceptable. The design functions well, and the high dome accommodates even a teepee shaped fire in a shallow firepit. The weight is sufficient to keep it in place when opening the hinged lid. I'm using it on a pit I built of cobblestones with an inside diameter of 36", and it fits well. It would also fit on a brick circle of the same size.
